Grain Dust Explosion at the Royal, Iowa Elevator
A grain dust explosion tore through the Ag Partners elevator at Royal, Iowa, about thirteen miles southwest of Spencer in Clay County, at around half past three in the afternoon on August 25, 2020. The elevator was holding a mix of corn and soybeans and was mostly empty at the time, with no workers inside. Nobody was hurt. Local fire crews and the county sheriff's department put out the fire that followed.  ·
