Gas Pipeline Explosion in Lincoln County, Kentucky
A gas pipeline exploded in Lincoln County, Kentucky, on August 1, 2019, at about 1 a.m. The blast lit up nearby areas, with flames visible from as far as 50 miles away. Heat from the fire reportedly melted vinyl siding on homes in nearby neighborhoods, and the explosion was felt in neighboring counties. The exact cause had not been determined.  ·
