Squib round a squib is when a weak powder charge leaves a round in the barrel the next round is fired and makes contact with the stuck bullet the round that is moving blows the barrel apart or on rare occasions spins back and contacts the chamber either way it is a catastrophic failure

Looks like bullshit to me. Ninety nine percent of the time it takes the path of least resistance. Generally that's going to be back down through the magazine well. True, I have seen an upper come apart as well but he had zero debris out the bottom. Also, you're talking 40000 pounds of pressure and the parts didn't blow fast enough or with enough force.
