Missed powder charge on the round before, the primer is enough to lodge the bullet in the rifling, then the next round is bullet hitting the lodged bullet in the barrel that's what bust alot of guns  |

I've seen this happen. They were using surplus ammo. One round low-ordered and sent the bullet halfway up the barrel. They did not clear the barrel. The next round hit the obstruction.

Could have been the ammo... I had one of my shells explode in the chamber from the back. I had a big explosion right in my face and was lucky that the chamber was locked (bolt action) and that I'm not a lefty I suppose, you can easily loose an eye with this type of accidents... Some pics:     ...on a side note, the first thing I did after I got the blast was to touch my face, to see if it was still in one piece... hahahah It was an automatic reaction. |
