During the 2018 Macau Grand Prix main race, an F3 driver crashed at about 170 mph on lap 4 and survived.

The car made contact with another competitor who was slowing for incorrectly displayed yellow flags between Mandarin Corner and Lisboa Bend. It spun out of control, launched over another car, broke through the catch fencing, and struck a photographer bunker before landing back on its wheels.

Three other people, a marshal and two photographers, were injured. One suffered a lacerated liver, facial and upper-abdominal lacerations, concussions, and bruising.
