East Palestine Freight Train Derailment, February 3, 2023
On February 3, 2023, Norfolk Southern freight train 32N derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. The freight train was carrying hazardous chemicals, including vinyl chloride. The derailment led to explosions and a toxic vinyl chloride cloud. Dead fish were reported after the incident.
