Crane Fails While Moving Retired Air India A320
A crane failed in India while moving a retired Air India A320 from an airport to a nearby training facility. The aircraft was being lifted to clear trees and telephone lines, reportedly the first time it had been moved by crane. The A320 had been parked for months and was no longer in service. It was not written off, and after minor repairs it was placed in a hangar for emergency training.
