Connecting Rod Failure Split Engine Block
A connecting rod failed inside an engine, ripping the bottom from a piston and swinging through the assembly. The rod cut through the engine block before exiting it. The block was split in half, with the lower portion of the connecting rod still attached to the crankshaft.
