Concrete Facade Collapse Damages Vehicles in Shanxi
On August 17, 2019, a large section of the upper exterior wall and concrete eave detached from a residential building in Shanxi Province, China. The collapse crushed a row of vehicles below. Residents suffered bruising, and a woman ran clear shortly before the wall fell. Property staff said the hazard had been identified and reported several months earlier. The incident was under investigation.
