Column Failure Collapses Balcony in Cienfuegos, Cuba
On May 23, 2020, a porch column failed at a building near Villuendas Park in Cienfuegos, Cuba, causing the concrete balcony or roof section above it to collapse. People were standing only a few meters away when the structure came down. Heavy rain had reportedly raised concern about a possible collapse beforehand.
