CNG Bus Destroyed by Fire Near Perugia
A CNG-powered Bus Italia bus caught fire on April 16, 2022, between Ponte della Pietra and San Vetturino near Perugia, Italy. The empty bus was being taken to a depot by a mechanic when the fire broke out, reportedly most likely in the engine compartment. The cause remained under investigation. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the bus was destroyed. The fire spread to roadside brush and nearby land, while police blocked traffic on the Marscianese and Via Settevalli. No injuries were reported.
