Has been asked before, but was there anything stopping them from climbing out onto the blades further away from the fire and smoke? Honestly looks like that could have been an option, but then again I'm not in that position. |

The wings are not flat. More like curved and (can’t come up w a proper english word). They regularly transport parts for those through our town, seeing them close up helps understand why it’s hard to go anywhere when on top of a burning turbine. And as someone asked above, why not climb the outside wall…it’s smooth. It’s not like a tree trunk, neither in texture nor diameter. |

The blades weren't moving. During and after pics show that the blades did not rotate. They should've crawled slightly on to the blades. No guarantee but better than imminent death. In the heat of the moment they probably panicked. |
