The Unsolved Murder of Jennifer Harris From 2002
After six days, on May 18th, 2002, police discovered the nude body of Jennifer Harris, the 28 year old Fannin County Texas resident, floating in the Red River. An exact cause of death has never been determined, but according to police, it was violent, unnatural, and her uterus had somehow been removed. After many years of investigation by the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and the Texas Rangers, which included them exhuming her body, no arrests have been made. It's worth noting on this case that there has been a lot of friction between the family and the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office. The family accuses the Sheriff's Office of mishandling the investigation, and at one point the Sheriff's Office did lose a large amount evidence collected from the scene. At one point the crime television show Cold Justice offered to do an episode on the case to help drive in leads, but the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office refused to assist them. The family says two suspects were identified early on, a former boyfriend and Jennifer's ex-husband. Jennifer's father publically stated: Jennifer's father, Jerry Harris, believes his daughter was pregnant at the time of her death and there's a good chance that's why she was killed, as the autopsy showed all of her female organs were missing, and that they had been forcibly removed.

How insanely torn apart must she have been? Female organs...forcibly removed...perhaps a crime scene pic I'd second guess viewing. Seems like someone active in local community that got bailed out by sheriff's office. Either that or somebody took the whole "getting my red-wings" way to seriously.
