Whew, this section has sure gotten stale....

Anyone remember TJ Lane?



He's the kid who shot three kids at a high school, then during sentencing wore a shirt with the word "Killer" emblazoned on it and flipped off the families while saying "This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. Fuck all of you!"

His interrogation was finally released in four videos. I've posted a link to the first one, and it's quite fascinating to observe him moments after the shooting and compare that with his behavior at trial:

Just don't give much attention to tj lane over any other true crime matter, you think it's a joke or he's fascinating reality he's just an idiot who committed something that any rational person likely him included wishes he could take back for the sake of his own preservation of life if for nothing else.

So he says:
- he brought two 10-round mags and a knife to school
- the knife was to defend himself while he was changing mags
- he loaded the mags the day prior
- he bought his "killer" shirt approximately 2 weeks prior
- he aimed the gun at students' heads while shooting the full mag
- while shooting, he swept the gun so he could hit multiple targets
- he had no grudges and no specific target

This profile has all the ingredients a premeditated copycat school shooting for attention and celebrity. Probably the same psychological motivation as suicide. Except, these days, the kids are killing random peers instead of themselves.

That's my take on it.

I will add this: He claims he knows of nothing that planted the idea of his plan to active shoot at his school. I disagree. All kids know about school shootings which carry huge publicity.

A very relevant line of questions in diagnosing his mindset would be exploring how extensive was his use of violent, homicidal video games. I suspect violent gaming culture has a lot to do with the active shooter behavior among youth and adults.

You're very welcome, but please like and subscribe to Crime Circus' channel; support his efforts. He has a lot of unique interrogation videos on his website, including previously unseen footage of Stephen McDaniel, the "yes, no, okay, I don't understand, I don't know" guy .

Frankly, I feel that THIS is the REAL TJ Lane. He surrendered himself to lawl enforcement, he felt terrible about what he'd done, he realized the futility of whatever impulse he had acted upon. It doesn't matter whether he sheds tears for himself or his victims, this is a man at his most vulnerable point.

At some point while he was imprisoned, something happened to turn him into the person we saw at his sentencing, but I feel his testimony here is genuine.

Another interesting thing about this kid is he also escaped prison somehow and was on the loose for 6 hours. They eventually found him only about 100 yards away from the prison. He did not put up a fight and was taken without incident.

It's an interview with a guy who did time with TJ, has some interesting insights into him. In particular, he makes it clear that TJ has been in a homosexual relationship with one of the guys he escaped with.

He also mentions that his escape attempt was supposed to have a woman pick them up who he had been exchanging mail with, but apparently she never showed up. That's new info and something that was never reported AFAIK when the escape attempt happened.

This guy also confirms that TJ told him that one of the guys he shot (the first guy IMO) was someone he had beef with. There's always been rumors that he had problems with that guy, possibly over a girl (this former inmate doesn't know anything about that).

It's always been interesting that TJ has said he had no particular motive, even though there's clear evidence that at the very least he had beef with the first guy he shot.
