Lee Stebens

In Tulsa, Oklahoma remains were found on June 29, 1991 at the 2600 block of West 158th Street South. The remains were later identified as those of 13 year old Lee Gene Stebens. The young man was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and gray slacks as well as multiple red and orange friendship bracelets.

I think the saddest part about this was he was just a kid. I tried to do further research on this case and nothing came up. It's like this child is completely forgotten and justice has yet to serve him or his family. I can only imagine how it feels being this child's mother.

There has been no leads, nothing. Not even the slightest bit in details to see what could have possibly happened. If there was a basic knowledge of what happened, then perhaps that would prompt someone who knows something to talk. This case isn't just cold. this case has been frozen since 91.

Someone knows something and they refuse to talk. Any tips? Call 918596COPS

I read somewhere that he ran away from a juvenile home once or twice, but that's all it said. Really sad,no mention of any family or a mom or dad, nothing.

Re: Lee Stebens

~ Seems to me that this guy used to go to nearby Kiefer High School & used to walk/skate/cycle thru a favorite path,...many water spots around the area.
~ I suspect a regular (school/neighborhood) bully & his entourage finally did him in, thought he was too much a 4-eyed gay dweeb.
~ He finally decided to stand up to him/them, bad move, then dumped where found.
~ Closeup of hat says, Skate de _?
~ Just wanted to be regular popular kid, it didn't help.

~ Keifer, Oklahoma
~ Probably student at nearby Keifer High School
~ Probably previously & regularly knew his bully assailant, & friends, who thought he was a 4-eyed gay dweeb.
~ Closeup of hat says "Skate de __'
~ Probably tried to fit in with bully & failed.
~ Somehow, 'skaarz, scars', come to mind regarding assailant.

I'm thinking the hat says "Skate or Die"
