This is one of my favorite cases, if you will. Of course someone deciding to commit suicide is sad, but I've always been intrigued by him. Who was he? Where was he from? Why did he choose that specific place of accommodation? Curious case indeed, thanks for posting.

What a shame! His unibrow was almost completely filled in.

Seriously though, I lived in the Seattle area during the time of this guy's death. I don't recall hearing anything about him on the Seattle news outlets.
I read about it in the LA Times at the time.
