Wildfires Trigger Evacuations West of Jerusalem
Wildfires erupted in the forested region between Eshtaol and Latrun, just west of Jerusalem. The fires began as a small blaze but quickly became a national emergency. Scorching temperatures, dry terrain, and gale-force winds pushed the fire to spread uncontrollably, devastating forests and triggering mass evacuations near Jerusalem.
