Tornado Snaps Power Lines Near Ipava and Rantoul, Illinois
Footage from Ipava and Rantoul, Illinois, shows large power lines snapping next to a vehicle during high winds as tornadic circulation was overhead. The video also shows bright transformer power flashes over a highway, a rope tornado, the tornado crossing a road, a rotating wall cloud, and a lightning strike at sunset. The footage was shot during evening daylight on June 11, 2026, in or near Ipava and Rantoul by a meteorologist and storm chaser crew.
