Tornado Funnel Cloud in Alberta Canada
A possible tornado was spotted Monday afternoon southeast of Alberta's capital city. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is investigating reports that a tornado touched down near Edberg, a small community south of Camrose that is about 125 kilometres southeast of Edmonton. Erin Staunton, a meteorologist with ECCC, said there have been several reports of a tornado and "it does seem likely that a tornado touched down in the area." Edberg resident Cheyenne McCrea managed to capture video of a funnel cloud. "I've lived here for 25 years, and I've never, never seen anything in this area," she told. |
