Ten Hokuriku Shinkansen Trains Scrapped After Typhoon Hagibis
River flooding during Typhoon Hagibis in October 2019 partially submerged 10 Hokuriku Shinkansen trainsets. JR scrapped the trains at a cost of 14.8 billion yen. The affected rolling stock included E7 and W7 series sets, which had entered service in 2014 and 2015.  ·
