Taal Volcano in Batangas Erupts
Three eruptions of the Taal Volcano in Batangas have been recorded this Sunday morning. Phivolcs reported that it recorded one minor phreatic eruption, which occurred at 2:55 a.m., and two minor phreatomagmatic eruptions at 8:13 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. The eruptions generated plumes that were spewed up to 1,200–2,100 meters above the craters, according to Phivolcs. It also raised Alert Level 1 for the Taal Volcano. During Alert Level 1, Phivolcs says that hydrothermal or tectonic activity may be occurring beneath the volcano; steam-driven, gas, or hydrothermal explosions can occur without warning. On Saturday, October 25, Phivolcs also recorded a minor phreatomagmatic eruption at its main crater. |

The Canlaon volcano, situated in the central-northern region of Negr.o.s Island in the Philippines, erupted with a plume of smoke reaching 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles) high. The event triggered widespread volcanic ashfall and a pungent sulfur odor across three cities and two municipalities on the island. |

I know that's the automated censorship, but I don't see any problem with saying ****** in that context. Its the name of an island. This is a newsworthy event. ****** exploded and the whole sky was *****ed out. Hell, if there's ever a major disaster in Scunthorpe I'd hate to think what would happen to the person posting that. |

There was an earthquake, er, "somewhere" recently. At least one news outlet reports that a big one is coming. I did check, but there was no mention of this news on bbc.com. I ain't saying it. Dont wanna get banned.  ·  · |
