Severe Storm Submerges Hundreds of Cars in Chaozhou
On the afternoon of April 7, 2026, Chaozhou city in Guangdong was hit by a new round of severe convective weather. Warm, humid airflow and accumulated atmospheric instability helped convective cloud clusters develop rapidly over the urban area, bringing strong winds, frequent thunder, and heavy rainfall. Hundreds of cars were submerged.
