Record Snowstorm Buries Houses and Cars in Japan
Japan continues to see widespread, persistent heavy snowfall after repeated waves of strong winter systems have moved across the country since late January. Meteorological authorities said snowfall has been especially intense along the Sea of Japan coast. Snow has also spread into northern, central, and parts of western Japan. The record-breaking blizzard has buried houses and cars, disrupted transportation, and affected daily life.
