Rain and Snow System Hits Central and Eastern China
Since January 30, a widespread rain and snow weather system has affected much of central and eastern China. Meteorological monitoring indicated that cold air combined with warm, moisture-laden airflow, bringing snowfall, sleet and locally freezing rain across several provinces. Roads were described as icy, with cars slipping.
