Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province was still dealing with severe rainfall impacts on May 19, after a prolonged rain system began affecting the area on May 18. The extreme weather triggered widespread flooding, river overflow, urban waterlogging, and multiple infrastructure failures in both urban and rural areas. Flash flooding submerged buildings and cars.
