I'm a little sick of people implying that because the state is below sea level, we somehow deserve what we get during Hurricane season. But there is no safe place to live in the US...Western coast, earthquakes. Southwest, heatwaves and drought. Middle of the country, tornado alley. North and the Eastern seaboard, blizzards.

I'm from NOLA,and I was there for Katrina.They tried to claim that no one would help us,and no emergency response was there,BULLFUCKINGSHIT! We were warned 3 fucking daysin advance to leave,we had busses from all the schools in New Orleans and surrounding parishes shipping people out who didn't have transportation,who was poor,drug addicts,high class,low class,minority's and anyone who needed help! Your lying,cheating,thieves,gang bangers,thugs,and up to no good animals stayed behind to loot,kill,and take what did not belong to them.Well they paid the price,and they reaped what they sowed! The ones that did survive then tried to claim that no one was helping them whe they're asses were up shit creak,they were shooting Army and Navy officials when they did come in to save them,so FUCK THEM ANIMALS! Then they tried to say that the Levi's were bombed and they were intentionally flooded out,BULLFUCKINSHIT! So now you know why marshal law was called and those animals were trapped in rising waters! FUCK EM,you can't help rabid animals!

We don’t actually know how which of these deaths were due to the hurricane though. These people could have been murdered as that is one of the most violent places in the US

Of course you can tell. Only one of these victims is bloody. All of the discolored, bloated, WET bodies died in the water. Some of the older victims died of heat stroke, dehydration, and the like. Use your brain.

Many of the scum are still here in Houston today, since there was nothing to go home to for a lot of them. Not saying everyone who came to Houston from New Orleans during Katrina was scum, just 99% of them.

Living in post-Katrina New Orleans is infinitely better than living in Houston at any point in history. Houston is one of the most soulless, bland, boring, grid-locked cities ever. Absolutely zero personality.
