New Hull Hole Found on MS Estonia Wreck
Divers in 2020 found a previously unseen large hole in the hull of the cruise ferry MS Estonia, which sank with 852 deaths. A 1997 investigation concluded that the ship's bow door was wrenched open in heavy seas, allowing water onto the car deck. Following the new discovery, the Estonian government announced a new technical investigation into the disaster.  ·  ·  ·
