Re: Massive Rockfall/Landslide in Peru
Such good footage goddamn. You can see the surprise which then quickly turns to fear in the drivers eyes.

Re: Massive Rockfall/Landslide in Peru
people talk a lot about how they would not want to live in florida with the hurricanes but at least we have a week of warning and time to decide if risk is too much to stay put. these situations and tornados i think are way scarier

Re: Massive Rockfall/Landslide in Peru
Yeah, won't be fucking in THAT vehicle again. Despite the whole 'being crushed flat in the cab' situation, wouldn't it've been safer there than to try to dash out and maybe get killed by much smaller rock hits and/or impact shrapnel? We never know how we'll react, when given only a second or so to decide....

Re: Massive Rockfall/Landslide in Peru
I live on the coast in Oregon where I see rocks that size on flatbed trucks. They use those for the jetty between Washington and Oregon. I couldn’t imagine seeing something like that barreling down a hill at me. Amazing force with the weight and speed they’re falling. |
