I was thinking, "Just one little earth-burp and it would be in another section of DR."

Re: Man Descends 1200 Ft Into An Active Volcano
During the final assault of the City of Mexico by the Spanish, they needed sulfur to make powder for ammunition. A group of men, in 1521 mind you, claimed 17000 feet, to lower one individual, several times over, to collect the sulfer. They did this with a wicker-basket, and over 700 feet of vines, into an active volcano. The individual inside was being cooked, while the rope pullers were being frozen. Badass video, but the old school way of lowering yourself into an open festering earth zit, was a little manlier than this. |
