Magnitude 7.4 Quake Hits Off Davao Oriental
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Davao Oriental in the southern Philippines on October 10, 2025, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. The quake occurred about 58 kilometers beneath the seabed and sent strong shaking across much of Mindanao. Tsunami warnings were issued, widespread evacuations were reported, and there were reports of structural damage in several cities.
