Jeep Swept Away in Texas Flood End of May

This Jeep Cherokee tried to fight the current and ended up getting swept away. The water was the result of a flood that happened in Texas in May, 2015.

One of the most stunning images to emerge from this weekend's storms is the cell phone video of a man and his SUV, swept away by high waters near Tapatio Golf Resort in Boerne.

The relentless rain only strengthened the current before the car - with people still inside – succumbed to the rushing water. The 2,000 pound Jeep, no match for Mother Nature, flipped over as it barreled down the raging creek.

Despite this wild ride, we're happy to report the man in the white Jeep made it out safely. George Kawli, who shot the video, says all he could do was make sure no one else was hurt.

He says this serves as a reminder for all of us, “People think they have 4x4's - where they can conquer the world. Nature will always win.”

Another unnecessary loss of life do to whatever reason. There was plenty of time for her to exit the vehicle and get ashore.

I added some information to this. The man in the Jeep did end up surviving.

I am glad he survived though, sometimes they think they can challenge mother nature, they never learn.

Re: Jeep Swept Away in Texas Flood End of May

I remember watching this video soon after it happened. Glad to read that the guy survived. It was an ongoing search when I last read of it.
