It happened on Tuesday and went viral on social media. Fortunately, no damage was reported in the area. The whirlwind, which formed just before reaching the coast, traveled along the stretch of sea with impressive speed, when it finally hit the Capo d'Orso, a famous rock located on the northeast coast of the island of Sardinia. The Italian media reflected the news and recalled that in November 2018 a whirlwind of similar characteristics hit the same area. A towering waterspout erupted Tuesday around 4 p.m. off the picturesque Amalfi Coast, Italy. The whirlwind, which formed just before reaching the coast, traveled along the stretch of sea with impressive speed, when it finally hit the Capo d'Orso, a famous rock located on the northeast coast of the island of Sardinia. The huge column of water, which rose at high speed forming a trunk of considerable size, captured the attention of hundreds of people, including from the road, where motorists stopped to witness the peculiar phenomenon along the coast. Such was the viralization of the weather event that even the Twitter account of the Argentine National Meteorological Service shared it among its followers: "Spectacular waterspout," they wrote on the social network to accompany the video in question. Fortunately, the waterspout left no damage in its wake. In fact, it dissipated before continuing its journey. The Italian media reflected the news and recalled that in November 2018 a whirlwind of similar characteristics hit the same area, wreaking havoc on the stretch of sea off the Amalfi Coast and hitting the commercial port of Salerno hard, causing considerable damage.

Pretty fucking tough and swaggering, until it hit those rocks and got put in it's place, and turned back into a wimpy little rain shower. That tornado got a pretty good kick in the balls.   |
