They should have cancelled it! This was a nasty storm that came through..I was sitting on my porch during the storm and the wind was blowing so hard that my trees were cracking! They should have evacuated everybody before this storm moved in.

I'm from Louisville, KY and I had just dropped a friend off at home in Austin, IN before the storms moved in. I barely made it home with my daughter when we got nailed. We don;t have any trees in our yard and we had some really large limbs find their way to my yard. A few minutes ago they actually postponed our kid's first day of school from tomorrow to Tuesday due to damage and power outages. That has NEVER happened in our history! And kudos to those attendees that used their chairs as makeshift backboards to help get the wounded out. As rotten as some people can be I am always proud when you see ones like this willing to help!  |

That line of storms passed through the Chicago area and did a lot of damage here as well. It has been a very bad year for storms in this region so far. It's horrible that those people came looking to have a good time and were killed.  |
