The Thailand Metropolitan Administration's Flood Control Centre reported moderate to heavy rain in Bangkok on Wednesday. About an hour after the heavy rain began, several areas and roads were underwater, especially in Udom Suk, Bangna, and Latkrabang.

The downpour caused significant morning traffic disruptions. Lat Krabang district, near Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, recorded the highest rainfall at 62.5 mm.

People on social media reported difficult road conditions, with some saying they had to take the day off and return home. District offices deployed traffic officials to flooded roads to assist affected motorists.

Low to moderate rainfall is forecast in Bangkok and the surrounding provinces of Prachinburi, Nakhon Nayok, and Chachoengsao until Friday. Temperatures are forecast between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius.

The Thai Meteorological Department issued a weather warning for thunderstorms in upper Thailand. City firefighters and rescue teams are on standby to help people affected by thunderstorms and floods.

Residents were cautioned to beware of large trees and unsecured billboards that could fall in wet and windy conditions. Farmers were advised to prepare to prevent crop damage. Winds and waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are expected to be more pronounced until Sunday.
