Hailstorm Hits Parts of Beijing
On the evening of June 4, a hailstorm, heavy rain, and strong winds swept through villages in many districts of Beijing, China. Mafang Village in Xiji Town, Tongzhou District, was among the affected places. A farm was reported destroyed. Video uploaded online showed a car parked in the open being severely hit by hail, with many small pits expected afterward. Photos posted online showed the largest hailstones were about the size of an egg.
