Giant Hail Hits Harbin and Shenyang
On June 8, an intense hailstorm hit Harbin and Shenyang, among other cities in China. The storm was reported with hurricane-force winds. In several urban areas, hail accumulated along roadsides in layers more than 10 centimeters thick. In low-lying areas, hailstones floated on water.
