Flooding Hits Miyun After Dam Release and River Overflow
On July 28, 2025, flooding swept through Beijing's northeastern Miyun District, with Taishitun among the hardest-hit areas. Relentless rainfall led to a full-scale emergency as river overflow and water released from a dam submerged downstream cities. Cars were swept away.
