Flooding Hits Girona and Sicily
On Friday, November 8, intense storms and flooding hit parts of southern Europe, including Spain and Italy. In Spain's northeastern Girona region, especially the coastal town of Cadaques, torrential rain fell during the night. Reports said flooding destroyed cars, and streets turned into rivers in Girona and Sicily. The rainfall in Cadaques exceeded 100 liters per square meter. Local rivers, streams, and drainage systems were overwhelmed.
