Flash Flooding Shuts Norwood Hospital in June 2020
Heavy rain in late June 2020 caused flash flooding at Norwood Hospital in Massachusetts. Water inundated the bottom floor, where much of the hospital's electrical, plumbing, and HVAC infrastructure was located. All patients were evacuated. The hospital remained closed three months after the flooding.
