EF-1 Tornado Hit Vehicle South of Amber, Oklahoma
On the evening of May 2, 2018, just before sunset, an EF-1 tornado impacted a vehicle south of Amber, Oklahoma. The weak tornado was embedded in a line of storms that caused damage in central Oklahoma. A damage survey from the NWS in Norman confirmed the vehicle was at the spot where the tornado crossed Interstate 92. The occupants said they did not intend to end up in that situation and were not harmed.
