Earthquake Strikes Beihai, Guangxi
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Beihai City in Guangxi, China, on January 4, 2024. The epicenter was near Weizhou Island. The quake was strongly felt on the island, with noticeable effects in downtown Beihai. The China Seismological Network recorded the focal depth at 9 kilometers.
