Cyclone Garance made landfall on Reunion Island, a French overseas territory, on February 28, 2025. The cyclone brought winds reported at 230 km/h, torrential rain, and massive waves. Houses were destroyed, flooding was reported, and hundreds of thousands were left without power and water.
