Chongqing Rivers Overflow and Damage Buildings in July 2023
On July 4, 2023, heavy rain hit most parts of Chongqing, with multiple rivers overflowing and buildings damaged by flooding. Chongqing launched a level IV flood control emergency response. The largest daily rainfall reported was 251.5 mm in Baiyan Village, Changtan Town, Wanzhou.
