Blizzard Conditions in Barron County, Wisconsin
A blizzard warning was in effect for much of Sunday across Barron County, Wisconsin, with near whiteout conditions and roads almost completely covered by snowdrifts. By evening, 8 to 12 inches of snow had fallen across the area, with some spots seeing less and others more. Winds were gusting 25 to 40 mph at times. Several roads were drifting over or drifted shut. The Barron County Highway Department was keeping Highway 48 west of Rice Lake plowed. About 6 miles east of Rice Lake, blowing snow included a small snownado.
