Pop-up storms turned severe late in the afternoon during the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, bringing lightning, 1-inch hail, heavy rain, and extreme street flooding.

Numerous intersections were overwhelmed. On 9th Avenue and Highway 23, vehicles were stranded in water that reached their windshields. An ambulance drove through the floodwater and passed a stranded vehicle, and people were seen pushing a flooded vehicle through the water.

At 25th Avenue and Highway 23, drivers stopped before entering the flooded area. Other drivers went through the flooding, including an SUV in deep water, and flooding was also seen in a neighborhood.
