Is that ground track is accurate it's a shitty traffic pattern with a base that is not 90° to the runway acquiring in more than 90° turn the final stall spin accidents on base to final turns are very common in small planes and always brought on by people flying too slow and trying to turn too tightly that's probably what happened here but what's surprising is that an airline crew did this. Although in Nepal in that part of the world is not that surprising.

Another pilot was a pax on a flight into the old airport Nepal a few weeks prior to this crash. At the time, he commented that the hard turn prior to dropping into the airport was crazy. He figured it the approach to the new airport would require a two tight turns in a row, just as shown on that ground track. He independently plotted his own likely approach path, and it matched up with that ground track.

Nepal is the closest airport to Mount Everest. The terrain dictates crazy approach gymnastics.

ATR 72-500 (The plane's manufacturer) which owned by Yeti Airlines, crashed after failed doing landing attempt at Pokhara Airport.

No further information why the incident happened for now.

A passenger managed to capture the horror before crash, it is noted that he was doing live on social media at that time.

The last two pics are from another Nepali crash that happened when a US-Bangla Airlines plane from Dhaka crashed sort of the runway on March 12, 2018 at near the Kathmandu airport (49 dead).

I found that alot of sites, even Nepali ones, were using the same crash images for the most recent Yeti airlines crash at Pokhara airport. Easiest way to tell is that the Yeti airliner's tail section ended up at the bottom of the gorge, not up top. There's alot of pics of the Katmandu crash but I still can't find any 'gore' ones...cheers :)

A few more pics from the Jan. 15, 2023 Yeti Airlines crash in Nepal. The plane in first pic is the ATR-72 that crashed; other pics give an indication of the depth of the gorge that the wreckage fell into and where most of the bodies were found; and then photos of several victims - either recovered from the gorge or from the top; last pic is of the voice cockpit recorder - which was intact and was sent to France for analysis.

questions/observations from the video from inside the plane:

at 44 seconds, the left wing is dipping down again pretty sharply.

at 48 seconds, he pans over to his friend again who clearly looks nervous at this point; something is wrong and he knows it

at 50 seconds, the guy in the seat in front of them, to the right, is smiling, nervously? It's like they know something isn't right but are all trying to act confident

at 51 seconds, he says something that probably resembles in English "wait wait wait" or "whoa whoa whoa" as the plane is lurching again. The guy's head in front of them leans hard to the right, even though the plane is starting to lurch left. Natural survival action to start "heading that way" as the plane is falling to the left?

55-56 seconds in and then the moment of terror when they realize they all had cause for concern. And they know instantly this is it. And you can hear it in his voice (and the others screaming).

Nervous jubilation to sheer terror in around 10 seconds.

Had it been in America, they'd make sure there was no one around within 500 miles with a camera as well as no one filming in the cabin.
