Ultralight Aircraft Pilot Burned & Killed After Crash into Building

According to close relatives, I.G, aged 56, harbored a lifelong dream of taking to the skies. Recently, he acquired an ultralight aircraft and embarked on his inaugural flight in Aracaju, Brazil, where the tragic accident unfolded. Just four months ago, he joined an aviation club, and within that time, he completed a 60-hour flight training in São Paulo, following a comprehensive 40-hour course.

I.G. was a married man with two children. Remarkably, last year, he earned a degree in Administration, shortly after retiring from Petrobras.

On a Sunday morning, a dedicated team from the Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) arrived from Recife (PE) to initiate the investigation process.

At the accident site, extensive photographic documentation was conducted, and the ultralight's engine was carefully removed. Following the accident and the retrieval of the pilot's remains, the Sergipe Military Police remained at the scene to maintain its integrity and provide support for the ongoing investigative efforts.

The tragic incident transpired in the early afternoon on a Saturday (29). The ultralight aircraft crashed into a private school building after partially impacting two residences, thankfully resulting in no other injuries.

Upon impact, the aircraft ignited in flames, and a plume of smoke billowed into the distance. Tragically, the pilot suffered severe burns. The accident instilled a sense of desperation among the local residents, who mobilized to combat the flames with buckets of water and to assist in the rescue efforts to save the pilot.

This unfortunate incident occurred mere minutes after the small aircraft had taken off from the local air club, situated within the Santos Dumont Quarter.

Best rooster crowing and music accompanying a fiery ultralight crash ever on DR!

Say what you want about Brazilians, those people can cook. The best barbecue I ever ate was in Belo Horizonte in 1991...

Man, them people are just fucked up. Bitches can afford a fucking phone but don't own a fucking water hose. A 200' water hose at Home Depot cost $20 bucks. A mobile phone cost at least $200 bucks. Go figure! Much the same here in the states, dumb mother fuckers own a $60k truck but live a one bedroom mobile home. Go figure!

Rapid, inadvertent contact with anything on the ground will often result with the pilot getting 'carbonized'

He should have known

It has nothing to do with people being dumb. It has to do with logistics and market supply. Phones are much more important in people's daily lives there than a hose would be, and I kind of doubt there is even a reliable water spigot nearby to attach a hose to anyway.

We take a lot of things for granted in America. Cheap, plentiful things like garden hoses, a reliable delivery system for drinking water to every home and structure; reliable electricity, etc.
