Two Pilots Dead After T-50 Golden Eagle Crashed at Airshow
A tragic incident unfolded during an aerobatic show in Indonesia as a jet fighter met with disaster, resulting in the loss of two skilled pilots. Thankfully, there were no casualties among the spectators on the ground. The ill-fated aircraft, a KAI T-50 Golden Eagle, which is a light attack plane jointly manufactured by the United States and South Korea, suddenly spiraled out of control, culminating in a fiery crash. The accident took place near the Adi Sutjipto Airport in Yogyakarta, a prominent tourist destination located on the main island of Java. Eyewitnesses at the scene recounted the horrifying moments of the crash. The tragic incident occurred on the second day of an air show organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Air Force Flight School in Yogyakarta. Air Vice Marshal Dwi Badarmanto, an air force spokesman, confirmed the details of the crash and the casualties involved. Both the pilot and co-pilot, both of whom were Indonesian nationals, tragically lost their lives in the accident. |
