Two Killed After Plane Crashes in Venezuela
On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 23rd, a tragic incident unfolded in Yaracuy state, Venezuela, as a small plane with registration YV2915 AC90 crashed in the "Las Velas" area of Yaritagua, located within the Peña municipality. Social media reports have provided preliminary details about the crash, identifying the two occupants of the aircraft as the co-pilot, D.V., and the pilot, A.R., both of whom tragically lost their lives at the crash site. The impact of the crash left one body outside the wreckage, while the other was severely burned and found within the aircraft. Eyewitnesses captured harrowing footage of the airplane engulfed in flames as it descended, ultimately crashing onto the open fields of a local farm. The aircraft's data indicates that it reached a speed of 357 knots in mere seconds, experiencing a rapid updraft of nearly 6000 feet per minute during the critical moments leading up to the crash. |
