Stunting Citabria Plane Crashes into the Trinity River in Texas
Tragedy struck in Liberty County, Texas, as a single-engine airplane crashed into the Trinity River on a fateful Saturday evening, claiming the lives of two individuals. The victims have been identified as 26-year-old Patrick Joseph Falterman, who was the pilot hailing from Cleveland, Texas, and his friend, 25-year-old Zach Esters, who was visiting from Louisiana. According to reports from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the airplane encountered a stall before plummeting into the river, coming to rest approximately a quarter mile from Highway 105. Swift responses from law enforcement, first responders, and volunteer fire departments were initiated immediately upon receiving news of the crash. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered the airplane inverted in the river. Witnesses to the tragic event reported that the aircraft had been flying at a relatively low altitude before executing a nose-first descent into the river around 7 p.m. Eyewitnesses suggested that the airplane had been attempting aerial stunts, and during the course of a backward "loop," the engine stalled, leading to the aircraft rolling over and striking the water. An official from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) conducted the initial stages of the investigation, and a subsequent autopsy has been ordered to shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the crash. Plans are underway to retrieve the airplane from the river at a later date, as the community mourns the loss of two lives in this tragic aviation incident. |

Looks like a stall-spin accident.....you can see the aircraft rotating as it goes down.

What a wonderfully high-resolution video. It's like I'm right there myself! |

They are Texans. There are only two things that come from Texas. I know one it is not a videographer. That plane was not designed for aerobatic stunts. That was simple pilot error.

Unfortunate that a pilot has flown outside the capabilities of himself and the airplane. He also seemed to exhibit one of the hazardous attitudes of macho-ism, showing off to family and friends.

I suppose had they known that they would capture a fatal accident that day they would have purchased a higher resolution camera just to satisfy critics such as yourself |
